JACKS and KNOBS

Frequency Knob

Sets the frequency of the oscillator.

Fine Knob

Adjusts the oscillator frequency in detail.

Pulsewidth Knob

Adjust the pulse width of the pulse wave (rectangular wave).

Pulse width modulation attenator

It is an attenuator of CV to Pulse Width Modulation on the right.

FM Knob

Attenuator of FM CV from Linear FM and FM2 on the right.

Wave Shaper Input

Depending on the CV input here, the output sine wave and triangular wave change in waveform, and can produce a more harmonically rich waveform.

Outputs

Oscillator output. From the top is a sine wave, triangle wave, sawtooth wave, and square wave (pulse wave).

Mode Switch

This switch changes the display mode. The default is frequency counter mode, which always displays the frequency.

Press the button once to enter note mode. In addition to the frequency, when you reach the frequency of the scale, the scale is displayed. The scale of sharp is displayed with "." Between C and 2, such as "C.2".

Press the button again to enter octave mode.

1V / Oct Input

This is a CV input that specifies the pitch of the oscillator.

External Input

By inputting the output of another oscillator here, you can display the frequency and scale of that oscillator. For accurate frequency measurements, use a sawtooth wave for input.

Sync Input

Input the sawtooth or pulse wave output of the master oscillator used for the oscillator sync here.

Hard Sync Modulation

In Hard Sync Modulation, any sound can be input as the master sound used for syncing, and the Z3000 synchronizes to that sound.

Pulse Width Modulation

CV input to control pulse width

FM1 Input

FM1 input for CV control of oscillator frequency.

Linear FM Input

Linear FM input for CV control of oscillator frequency. Linear FM has a milder effect than other FM1 and FM2 FMs, and it is relatively easy to control dissonance. You can control the strength with the left attenuator.

FM2 Input

FM2 input for CV control of oscillator frequency. You can control the strength with the left attenuator.

Display

Displays the frequency / scale / octave according to the mode.

When you move the cursor over the screen, the role of each part is displayed in a popup.
The brand logo mark on the product panel is new and differs from the image.

MUSICAL FEATURES

A classic analog oscillator. It is a full analog VCO with an LCD display that displays the frequency information of the sound that is emitted, and can display pitch, octave, frequency, etc. It is also possible to measure externally input signals. The frequency is measured by calculating the frequency of the actually output waveform, not the input pitch CV. This function is very useful for those who use FM frequently, whose pitch tends to change.

SYNC / FM / WAVESHAPING

The Z3000 itself has plenty of waveform modulation capabilities, making it easy to generate waveforms other than the standard analog oscillator waveforms. Supports regular oscillator syncHSM (Hard Sync Modulation) in addition to SYNC inputThere is also a SYNC input that allows you to use various waveforms as synchronization masters. AlsoWAVESHAPER  By inputting a CV or audio signal to the input, it is possible to shift the sine wave and triangle wave from symmetrical shapes. There are 3 FM inputs,In addition to the exponential type (normal FM with a strong effect), it also has a linear FM, and by using this, it is possible to create a delicate FM sound with relatively little dissonance. By using one or two Z3000s, you can create various complex waveforms.

Display

The Z3000 mk II's display shows the frequency, scale, and octave of the audio signal output from the oscillator. This is done by counting the number of signal cycles in a fixed time inside the Z3000, so it is also possible to use that function for another oscillator by inputting another sound to EXT-IN.It's very handy because you can tune all the oscillators and drum sounds in your system with just one.
