MUSICAL FEATURES

The Bark Filter Processor is a signal processor with 12 bandpass filters with fixed frequencies. The band of the filter isBurke ScaleIt corresponds to a frequency band based on acoustic psychology (one arranged in one place), and the band is arranged so that the masking effect does not occur between adjacent bands and is equally spaced auditory. It is designed in this way to make the output signals from each band heard as sound that is auditory and isolated from each other.

The main output from the filter (All Out) is all affected by the slider s slider for each band, the volume CV input below the slider, and the frequency Scan/Tilt control at the bottom. The Even/Odd output outputs a combined filter output of only even/odd bands, respectively. You can also enter different audio to the Even/Odd band.Frequency Scanin, only the output of the frequency band with a certain width is mixed around a certain frequency.TiltThe control shifts from a low frequency distribution to a higher frequency distribution.

The envelope follower output allows the volume change of each band to be taken out as an envelope. The envelope output is also displayed in the LED below it and acts as a simple spectrum analyzer. Also on the right is a switch to control the volume of the even bands next to each other with an odd band envelope, and vice versa. If you enter different audio for an even band and an odd band, it becomes a pseudo vocoder. However, the low number of bands and the mapping of envelopes between different frequencies are different from accurate vocoding. A vocoder can be used to map between the same frequencies by using two modules and patching the envelope output of each of the 12 bands to the level CV input of the same frequency.
