MUSICAL FEATURES

Z-DSPThis is a DSP card equipped with a physical modeling effect that can be loaded and used. The models used are roughly two types: a waveguide model (Karplus-Strong, a model assuming string vibration) and a Spring model (a model assuming the vibration of a spring attached to a wall that weights on one side and moves on one side) Split.

In the waveguide model, the input signals pass through delay lines with delay times of 2 to 4 audio rates and feed back to each other. When the input signal is a short noise burst or pulse, it becomes a sound source that oscillates by using it as a trigger, and when continuous sound is input, it functions as a so-called resonator. Also, the two input signals L / R are processed in the same way.
で は In the spring model, a heavy object moves a vibrating spring attached to one side by the input signal, and the vibration is modeled and converted to sound. The L input moves the "wall" with the spring, and the R input moves the spring weight itself. Note that the R input has a large effect on sound. Fluid friction and static friction of the spring also have an effect. Since the Z-DSP simulates only one spring, it is more natural to use it as a filter for the input signal. It is also possible.

 The eight presets are:
  • 1. Double Waveguide Mixed: It has two delay lines and outputs are merged and fed back. VC-DSP1 controls the pitch of the first waveguide, VC-DSP2 controls the damping of the waveguide, and VC-DSP3 controls the pitch of the second waveguide
  • 2. String Waveguide: This is a waveguide model that simulates the strings you play. VC-DSP1 controls the pitch of the first waveguide, VC-DSP2 controls the damping of the waveguide, and VC-DSP3 controls the pitch of the second waveguide
  • 3. Bass Waveguide: It is a waveguide specialized in the base process. VC-DSP1 controls pitch, VC-DSP2 controls waveguide damping, and VC-DSP3 controls the strength of the envelope follower for the input. This envelope controls the pitch of the waveguide.
  • 4. Minor Chords: Four waveguides tuned to minor chords. VC-DSP1 selects the root pitch, VC-DSP2 selects the waveguide damping, and VC-DSP3 selects the fourth waveguide pitch from 4th, minor 7th, 7th, or octave above.
  • 5. Waveguide Mesh 1: Four independent waveguides with pitch spacing. VC-DSP1 controls the pitch of the first waveguide, VC-DSP2 controls the damping of the waveguide, and VC-DSP3 controls the pitch spread between the four waveguides.
  • 6. Waveguide Mesh 4: Four waveguides connected inside. VC-DSP1 controls the pitch of the first waveguide, VC-DSP2 controls the damping of the waveguide, and VC-DSP3 controls the spread of the pitch between the four waveguides.
  • 7. Spring Filter 3 (LP): Spring model similar to low pass filter. VC-DSP1 is the spring hardness (control close to the filter frequency), VC-DSP2 is the relationship between the spring hardness and the friction of the spring movement, VC-DSP3 is the fluid friction of the spring movement (close to the resonance of the filter) ) Do the control.
  • 8. Static Friction 2: Spring model with static friction. VC-DSP1 controls the spring hardness (control close to the filter frequency), VC-DSP2 controls the static friction strength, and VC-DSP3 controls the fluid friction of the spring movement (close to the resonance of the filter).
