JACKS and KNOBS

Aux A

Aux input to the channel of group A.

Aux C

Aux input to the C-group channel.

Output A

It is an A output that outputs a mix of ch1, CH2, and Aux A signals. If not patched here, the signal is mixed and output from the B output.

Output B

The B output outputs a mixed signal of CH3 and CH4, but if the A or C output is not patched, the signal is also mixed. If only B is patched with A to C output, a mix of all six channels of signals can be retrieved.

Output C

It is a C output that outputs a mix of ch5, CH6, and Aux C signals. If not patched here, the signal is mixed and output from the B output.

Inputs

Signal input and its attenuator.

Channel Control

A channel knob and CV that controls which channels are output mainly from CH1 to CH6. There are two types of CV inputs: atte inverter and no (unity gain). Both CV ranges are 0-5V.

Radiate Control

Radiate Control knobs and CVs mix signals from nearby channels around the channels set by the Channel control. Turn to the right to output the front channel evenly. Turn to the left to make one channel. The CV range is 0-10V.

Level Control

Level controls the level of the output. It acts as a low-pass gate and can be opened by strike input (assuming 8V gate signal input) in addition to normal CV controls. The CV range is 0-8V.

When you hover over the screen, each part's role is displayed in a pop-up.

MUSICAL FEATURES

RxMx is a 6 input and 3 output mixer with plenty of bactrol. The slow reaction unique to Bactrour enables a fluid, unique mix, with very smooth decay between channels and level control. By triggering strike input, you can also create organic, percussive sounds like Optomix and others.

Signal Routing

RxMx has six channel inputs (with attenuators) and two Aux inputs. These input signals are further balanced by the Channel and Radiate controls. The signal adjusted in this way is output from three outputs of A/B/C.

The A output can take out the mix signal of CH1, CH2 after adjustment, the B output is similar CH3, CH4 mix signal, and the C output can take out the mix signal of CH5 and CH6, but if it is not patched to A or C output, the corresponding mix signal switches the output to b output. Therefore, if neither of the A/C output is patched, a signal can be output from the B output mixed with all six channels.

Channel/Radiate/Level Control

The knob s knob and CV of the "Channel" control set the output between the central channels. The "Radiate" control sets how much signals from the channel away from the central channel are mixed and output. The "Level" control sets the entire volume. These controls use bactrol as well as low-pass gates, allowing for very smooth and fluid crossfades.

Expansion

Connecting to the expansion headeron on the RxMx base using a 10-pin socket for signal output on the base of FXDf or DPO makes the output of those modules available as rxmx inputs without patching. RxMx makes it easy to crossfade various waveform outputs of different spectrums of FXDf and DPO. When patched to the RxMx input jack in this state, the signal to the channel via the expansion header is disconnected, so it can be used as a single RxMx without any problems.
