MUSICAL FEATURES

Launch Codes is a compact gate-driven tool sequencer for performance. In addition to a simple control mode that outputs gate and trigger signals from five channels in real time with button push, there is a sequencer mode that quantizes and loops through the time of the driven sequence, allowing the sequence to be created, copied and chained up to five patterns.

There is also a special mode for controlling and modulating sequences on cVs, which also supports a variety of pattern creations.

DETAILS

Launch Codes has the following modes of operation, such as normal sequencer mode, and is accessed by the button operation at the top:
  • Option setting mode (press the Opt button once during operation mode):
In option setting mode, you set different items for each of the five buttons. The settings are as they are in the panel.
    • - "MODE" isOperation modeYou can use theControl mode (LED off) / Sequencer mode (LED lighting) / Special sequencer mode (LED flashing)to select it. For more information about each operation mode, see the following description
    • - "LENGTH" sets the length of the sequence. Each length has a different LED state, resulting in LED off (8 steps), LED lighting (16 steps), and LED flashing (32 steps).
    • - "GENERATE" makes random changes to the current pattern by pressing the button. If you don't want to do anything else, you can return to the original pattern by pressing the Genrate button while holding down the Clear button.
    • - "LOAD" loads settings and sequences in memory by pressing for more than one second.
    • - "SAVE" saves all sequences, muted states, pattern chains, settings, etc. to internal memory by pressing for more than one second.
  • Output signal type setting mode (press the Opt button twice during operation mode):
The output signal type is changed for each channel, and the setting is switched by pressing the button for each channel. The settings for each channel are represented by the light of the button.
    • - Off: Press the button to output the trigger
    • - On: Outputs the gate to be ON while pressing the button
    • - Blinking: Turn on/off when you press the button (latch) gate signal
    It comes to.
  • Pattern mode (press the Patt button once during operation mode):
A mode in which sequences can be created, copied, and chained to up to five patterns. For more information about pattern mode, see the description in sequencer mode.

How to use per operation mode

The contents of each operation mode are as follows: As is also above, press Opt once (on Opt LED) option setting to change the operation mode, press the Opt button again, and then start playing (Opt LED off).

Control mode
If the MODE" button is off in the option setting,Control modeif you do not want to use it Button and work to output the gate/trigger signal of the set type in real time.

Sequencer Mode
If the "MODE" button is lit in the optionsettings,Sequencer ModeYou have selected. Record the step button action set by the Length button, quantize it, and play it back in a loop. If you don't like the recorded pattern, press the Clear button and press the button of the channel you want to clear. You can chain and remember the sequences you create in pattern mode. In sequencer mode, press the Opt button and press the button on each channel.MuteIt's possible. The mute state is for saving. Also, even if it is muted, pressing a button will output a gate or trigger, but it will not be recorded to the sequence.

When you press the Patt button, the Patt LED lights up.Pattern modein the future. The currently selected pattern lights one out of five. When you press a button in another pattern, the button begins to blink, and the pattern actually migrates the moment the current pattern returns to step 1.

In pattern mode, clearing the pattern is completed by pressing the clear button and pressing the button for each pattern. You can then undo the clear if you do the same thing immediately. In addition, you can copy the pattern by pressing the button of one pattern while holding down the Patt button while in pattern mode, and then by pressing the button of another pattern while holding down the Patt button to paste the pattern.

In pattern mode,Chain of patternsIt is also possible. If you press multiple buttons corresponding to several patterns, the patterns will play back in the order in which they are pressed.

Special CV Mode
If the "MODE" button is blinking in the options settings, it acts as a special CV mode. In this mode, functions other than reset input are the same as normal sequencer mode, and sequence data is common. In special mode, the reset input does not act as a reset, and it is a CV input to control the sequence. CVs are assigned to one of the following functions:
  • The randomness of the sequence. Sequence dissimilarly at 0V, and the higher the voltage, the more random lye the output sequence will change.
  • The playback of the sequence. Play back step with first step, higher voltage at 0V
  • Freeze sequencing. Loops from the step specified by the voltage to the last step
Please refer to the following special settings for how to assign.

Special Settings
When in option setting mode with opt pressed, the mode button is pressed and held to make the advanced setting. In special settings mode, five buttons work as follows:
  • Mode button: Button to manually reset sequence
  • Length button: Length length in sequence duplicates existing patterns by default but prevents this from happening
  • Generate button: Assign to set randomness on your CV in special CV mode
  • Load button: In special CV mode, assign the CV to control where the sequence is played
  • Save button: In special CV mode, loop only the back from the step according to the CV
