MUSICAL FEATURES

* When performing various controls on the Cold Mac, the signal may leak even if the Survey is turned fully to the left, or the signal may be severely distorted due to excessive voltage. However, the behavior is also included in this product specification. Please purchase after understanding.

Cold Mac is a utility module that can perform various analog signal processing. The only controls in the manual are a knob called Survey and its CV control.

Below the Survey controls are the various signal processing sections provided by Cold Mac. In each section, the left column is the input, the middle row of jacks connected by a diagonal line is the CV control or the second input, and the right row of lines is the output. The bottom "MAC" output is a mix of the six inputs. Survey Control controls various sections at the same time by being internally connected to the input of each section. When patched to each jack, the internal connection from Survey to that jack is broken. The Survey control acts as an output gain for MAC output. The role of each section is as follows.
  • VCA / PAN / CROSSFADE section: The first two rows are the VCA / PAN / CROSSFADE section. Inputting a signal only to the LEFT input and patching both the LEFT and RIGHT outputs will result in panning. If you input a signal to both LEFT / RIGHT, the output will be that crossfade
  • Analog logic section: OR outputs the larger of the two inputs, and AND outputs the smaller of the two. Each OR input is internally connected to the next AND input.
  • Envelope follower section: When audio is input to the far left, an envelope is output from the FOLLOW output, and from the right output, a signal obtained by inverting the negative voltage of the input signal to the positive side is output (full-wave rectification).
  • Crease section:Flip the center (near 0) and outside of the waveform.
