Jacks & Knobs
Signal Input
Signal input jack. This input is ignored when Cycle is on
Signal Output
Main signal output
End Output
The output signal delayed by lag and hold is high when it catches up with the input signal level during the descent. The next time you go down, you'll be low.
CV Input

Cycle Button
When the CYCLE button is on, it becomes like an LFO. What lfo signal you want depends on the mode
Mode Switch
Switch between sample & hold (LED on) and lag & hold (LED off)
Compare Out
Compare the output of the up and down two sections and output +5V or -5V which is larger.
Slew Time Knob
Sample&Hold mode controls the strength of the through limiter passed through before it is sampled, and Lag&Hold mode controls the through time it takes on the input signal.
Hold Input
Sample & Hold mode provides gate input for samples, gate input for holding output signals while on in Lag&Hold mode

Sport Modulator is an "Army Knife" type CV utility module that can create a variety of complex and intertwined CVs from a seemingly simple interface. It consists of two identical units that can be done through, sample and hold, track and hold, LFO, etc., and by patching it, it can perform many functions as a CV generator and CV modifier. It can also be used as a powerful random source by entering noise. Sport Modulator's capabilities are deeply influenced by the Serge modular, especially the Smooth & Stepped Generator module.

Sample & Hold
Works as a sample and hold. Samples an input signal to IN as soon as the gate enters the S/H input, outputs it from OUT, and then maintains its value until the gate enters to S/H. Therefore, the output voltage becomes a step.
When the CYCLE button is turned on, input to THE IN is ignored and behaves like an LFO that changes to a stairway each time there is an S/H input. SLEW control determines LFO speed -
Lag & Hold
It acts as a lag and hold (track & hold). It becomes a through limiter that slows the change of the input signal, and the through time which is the degree of the change is controlled by the SLEW knob/CV. The output signal is held the moment the gate enters the S/H input, and returns to the through when the gate is turned off.
When the CYCLE button is turned on, input to THE IN is ignored and acts as a triangular LFO, and the Speed changes with the SLEW control. However, the voltage is held while the gate to the S/H input is on.
