ESX-8CVES-40It is a module for working as an expander and outputs eight standard CVs. To retrieve eight 12-bit signals from a single 8-bit connection, the sample rate works at 1/3 to 1/24 times the sample rate at which the audio interface is running (depending on the number of outputs used). For example, when the audio interface is running at 48kHz, it will be between 16kHz and 2kHz. This is sufficient for normal CV transmission other than audio rate signals or very early envelope signals.
