The 4ms Tapographic Delay is a multi-tap delay with a unique interface and functionality. A tap is one delay unit that makes up a delay, and each tap has a different delay time. TapO allows you to program velocity taps to create a variety of rhythms, organic textures, resonance sounds, and unusual harmonies, even from drones and percussive simple sequences. Whether it's voltage or manual, it's moved in real time to make it more advanced. Tap timing and velocity settings are called tapography in TAPO.
Tap sensor with velocity sensitivity
Up to 32 taps can be generated, with delay time, amplicus, filters and panning assigned for each individual tap
Each tap is set to a low pass or resonant band pass filter
Between each delay setting, you can morph and migrate over a specified amount of time
Two real feedback structures by repeat and feedback
It has 4 banks that can save 6 presets and can be saved and called up to 24 delay settings
Tapography sequencer for selecting sequence modes from forward, random, and random directions
It can be synchronized with an external clock and can be dived and multiplexed.
Gate output synchronized with the rhythm of the delay
Delay time up to 174 seconds
Sampling is 16-bit/48kHz, and internal processing is done at 32-bit floating point. Software latency is 1.3 ms
Mono input, stereo output (mono output is also possible)
Firmware is possible by audio input
Setting with tap button
With the six buttons listed above, you can switch between tapography presets and change various settings. If you want to call tapography from one of the six presets, simply press the button. To save, first press and hold the preset button for one second, and then press the button again when it flashes red. This completes the save. If you accidentally press and hold the button, please do not press the button again and wait. The save is canceled.
The TAP button allows you to change the settings further. The setting item is VEL/BANK/PAN/MODE, and the setting changes when the corresponding button (the second from the left if IT IS BANK) is pressed, and the selection item to the right (4th from the left if BANK B) is pressed.
VEL: Set the effect of velocity.
BANK: Call a bank containing preset caller/destination preset
PAN:Change the panning settings. Sum/R is set for mono output. RnD sets the panning of each tap randomly. Alt is set to panning alternately for each tap.
MODE:Switch between normal EDIT mode and sequencer mode where tapography presets can be sequenced. In sequencer mode, press the TAP clock or tap sensor to advance the sequence to the next preset.
