MUSICAL FEATURES

4ms Dual Looping Delay is a module by the joint development of Gary Hall and 4ms which developed Lexicon PCM42 with the audio system processor that creative synthesizer cis のための is advanced. Having two independent D lei / loop channels, I can synchronize on the basis of common time
Possible with an audio system (two minutes 54 seconds) every channel with the 16 bits mode of the default memory for a little less than three minutes (as for 24 bits time one minute 27 seconds)
The record at 24 bits is possible with sampling rate of 48kHz/16-bit, an option, too

CONTROL
HOW TO USE
When the operation of DLD turns on HOLD button when I operate it as high-performance D Ray and operates it as a looper, it is big and is different.
DELAY (HOLD=OFF)
The channel works as D Ray HOLD button at the time of OFF. I can use each channel for independent D as Ray if I patch it for the input and output of each channel. In addition, when it is not patched by IN B, a signal to IN A is input into IN B by internal connection and when it is not patched by OUT B, output (OUT B) of the lei is mixed on CHANNEL B day by OUT A and is output. Therefore, it functions as leis on the complicated Riz Mick day when I let stereo D of the mono/ stereo input mix a lei on the day of lei and two.
D can set it in sync with time to 1/8 - 32 times of a clock working in the time when I tapped a clock input into PING Jack or a PING button at lei time. I set it by the combination of TIME knob and switch at D lei time.
A switch is time of lower (1/8): As for the TIME knob, 16/8 is setable to doubling it from doubling it 1/8 of the PING clock in D lei time
A switch is time of the middle (=): The TIME knob is setable from 1 time of the PING clock to 16 times between D lei time
A switch is time of top (16): The TIME knob is setable from 17 times of the PING clock to 32 times between D lei time
I make full use of patching and CV control, and very complicated Riz Mick D can produce leis.
The D lei is played to the opposite direction by inputting trigger into REVERSE button and REVERSE Jack as other functions. In addition, DLD may come out as a lei signal on a day because I have an audio system buffer of very long time without the audio system which I input depending on how to move at lei time considerably forward on a day intending. In such a case a buffer can clear a recorded audio system signal by pushing and holding REVERSE and HOLD for a few seconds.
Async mode The upper movement becomes the movement as the mode for basic synchronization of DLD (クォンタイズ). However, it is with an async (アンクォンタイズ) mode, and the D lei can set lei time continually at the time except the multiple of clock (integer part) on a day by turning TIME knob while pushing the HOLD button. In addition, work of TIME CV Jack is changed with the async mode. TIME CV Jack comes to control D lei time on the basis of frequency of 1V/Oct. Lei time gets longer on a day when I put the high voltage with the synchronization mode, but frequency becomes higher that is lei time shortens on a day when I put the voltage that is high with the async mode. (Karplus-Strong synthesizer cis) which I put up feedback with a PING clock as an audio system rate when CV input reacts in 1V/Oct, and it is with a sound source by inputting a noise burst and trigger having a short it into a lei on a day, and can control the pace again in TIME CV. When I want to control D lei time by a reaction of 1V/Oct closely, please make a switch the middle or the lower position.
The channel returns to a normal synchronization mode when I turn TIME knob without pushing the Hold button. In addition, a knob and Jack except TIME CV and the TIME knob, the basic role of the button are the same as a synchronization mode with an async mode.
LOOPER (HOLD=ON)
HOLD button works as the looper which a loop makes the audio system that the channel was recorded until just before that at the time of ON. The input signal is not recorded anymore then in an audio system buffer to D Ray, and a loop does only the sound that I recorded so far. The point on the (WET) buffer which DLD called as the D lei output when HOLD became ON points the start of the loop, and the point on the (DRY) buffer which DLD recorded again becomes the endpoint of the loop. Therefore, the length of the loop agrees with D setting in TIME knob /CV with lei time, and TIME knob /CV will control the length of the loop during a hold mode again.
It does not function even if I merely turn the FEEDBACK knob with the hold mode. However, I can control the reproduction position of the loop by turning HOLD button in spite of being push. Hold it for length of one lap of loop when I move FEEDBACK knob from 0% to 100%, and a reproduction position scrolls it while pushing the HOLD button. Because the FEEDBACK knob is invalid if I do not push the HOLD button,

I move it to FEEDBACK0% while pushing HOLD
I separate HOLD
I can move the position of the loop which I am buffering by repeating という operation steadily.
In addition, in order to perform the CV control of the loop position by FEEDBACK CV input, it is necessary to move the FEEDBACK knob even a little while holding down the HOLD button before that. If you move the FEEDBACK knob without pressing HOLD, the CV control at the loop position is disabled at that moment. Very short loop time to control the loop position with a CV gives a similar effect to the granular effect.
FIRMWARE UPDATE
Firmware version verification method The latest firmware for August 2016 is version 5. The firmware version of DLD sold in our store before July is 4 or less. To determine the firmware version, turn on the DLD, turn the two switches into top positions (+16), and then press all five buttons for a few seconds. You can see the version by the button that lights up.
Firmware Update Method * If the firmware version is less than or equal to 3, it may not be put into the firmware update standby state depending on the power supply or the like used. In that case, turn off the power and then put it in a standby state if you do step 4 in a few seconds. If it does not go well even if I try it several times, please contact us because I do the update in our store (The postage of the round trip will be a visitor's burden).
DLD performs firmware updates by pouring audio files. Playback devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) should use a PC or smartphone. In PC, etc., the playback condition may become severe, and it is recommended to play it from a smartphone at full volume.
2. Turn off the DLD and connect the audio output of the device to the DLD Input B with a patch cable. It can be a stereo cable. You can monitor the audio flowing in from Output B, but it is a very noisy sound, so please lower the volume and monitor it.
3. Set the volume of the device or playback software to 100%. Please do not make other sounds such as notification sounds or ringtones.
4. Turn on the DLD while holding down the Ping button and both Reverse buttons and the three buttons. Make sure the Hold A button flashes and the DLD is in the firmware update waiting state and release the three buttons.
5. Start playing the file. If the Loop LED on Channel A or Channel B is blinking, it is in the update process. Please be careful not to hear any sound other than the firmware file at this time. You can monitor and check the sound you are typing from Output B as described above.
6. If the audio stops before file playback is complete, or if the LED stops blinking, the update process has failed. PressIng Reverse A resets Hold A to blink again and to the firmware update waiting state. Play the audio from scratch and try to update it again. Before playing again, make sure that the downloaded audio file is complete or if there are no other sounds.
7. If the update is successful, dld returns to normal operating mode.
Factory Reset After the firmware update, a factory reset is sometimes required. The procedure for factory reset is as follows:
1. Unplug all cables from the DLD and turn them off.
2. Position the Time A switch down (1/8) and the Time B switch up (+16)
3. Hold A, Hold B, reverse B while turning on the DLD, then releasing the button. You can see channel A and B's Reverse/Holde four buttons flashing
4. Position the Time A switch up and the Time B switch down
5. Press and hold all five buttons for 10 seconds
6. Release the button when all the buttons flash faster
7. Turn off the DLD and restart to complete the factory reset.
