MUSICAL FEATURES

Delay1022 is an analog BBD delay focused on functioning as a sound source. It takes advantage of audio rate delay time and feedback to function as a synth voice with noise bursts and triggers as input, as well as a com filter.

Delay1022 uses two or one 512-stage BBD elements that produce very short delays, and achieves a delay time of 20Hz to 760Hz (1.3 ms to 50 ms). When you are delaying at such an audio rate, if you put a very short signal of a few milliseconds or less, you will create a waveform repeated by the delay, which results in a pitched sound. Delay1022 provides this synthesis method with analog BBD elements to create sounds similar to warm strings and percussion. The 1V/Oct input allows pitch control over 3-4 octaves and pitch control at 1V/Oct.

Feedback has a significant impact on the tone and decay. To provide feedback outside 1022, make the FB Loop switch "Open" and patch Delay Out→In2. During this time, it is possible to experiment variously by sandwiching other modules.

*Please note that some noise from the output is included because the analog BBD element is used. You can also see the noise in the demo below. Balance tone and noise with the built-in filter.

※When an audio signal is put in TCVin etc. for FM, the signal is output mixed, but it is a restriction by the chip and the circuit used. TCVin should use A CV that is not an audio rate.
