STO is a compact analog oscillator that can generate various sounds using wave shaping and FM.
You can't output for sawtooth wave or pulse wave only, but you can create rich sound by controlling shape control with knob and CV, and also using FM etc. The shape gradually changes from a sine wave to a musical sound containing harmonics, but the harmonic content does not expand so that the fundamental frequency becomes less noticeable. In addition, STO has the following unique features, and offers many options for moving the sound.
Expo input The Expo input is the second 1V / Oct input. If you add another pitch CV here, two pitch CVs will be added so you can shift the pitch. Also, when the oscillator is synced using the SYNC input, the CV to the EXPO input can be shaken to produce a strong tone change without changing the pitch.
S-Gate The moment the S-Gate emits the sub oscillator sound, the waveform is reset. In this way, if the output of another oscillator is input to the S-Gate, only the sub oscillator can be synchronized with the oscillator.
DEMO
The frequency of STO is lowered and used like an LFO. L-FO output from sub oscillator that can be turned ON / OFF by S-Gate DPO It seems that the sound is input to the Exponential FM Input of, and the sound is granular.
