Ceis is an envelope module that adds modular functionality to the classic ADSR envelope.

Each fader controls attack time, Decay time, Sustain level, and Release time, all of which can be controlled voltage from the lower jack. The top also has a gate output that is on for the time it takes to stay in each segment. It also has a trigger output (bottom center) that issues a short trigger as soon as it moves to the next segment. With this feature, it works like a trigger burst generator by reducing each time. Large knobs allow you to continuously change the curve shape of an envelope from straight to exponential (exp).

The lower left is the gate/trigger section. You can launch the envelope with a gate signal or a manual button. When the switch is in gate position, the envelope sustains at the level specified while the gate is ON. In the Gate position, the envelope is closed without waiting for the attack to complete when the gate is off during the attack. When the switch is in the TRIG position, the attack begins the moment the gate input turns on, and one cycle to release without sustaining it. In this mode, the length of the gate does not affect the envelope.
