Music features

Sism is a signal processor module that has four channels of magnitude and shift (offset) for CV or audio signals.

Each channel operates independently and has an input jack, an output jack, a scale knob, and a shift knob for each channel.

At the bottom of sism there are four outputs that produce signals that mix the four signals in a variety of ways and are useful for various signal generation. EspeciallySliceOutput is unique.
 

Scale knob

The "scale" knob is a knob for reducing or increasing the signal gain. The gain width can be selected from the following three for each channel by setting the jumper of the "scale" pin on the back.
  • Bi polar (bipolar) mode: the scale of the scale knob becomes zero and the signal will not pass. If you turn left left, the signal will be - 1 times (vertical and vertical) and turn right to 1 times the signal. The default configuration is here.
  • Uni polar (Unilever) mode: when you turn the knob to the left, you gain 0, and the signal will not pass through, and it is set to be a double gain when you turn it to the right. The jumper is turned off for this setting.
  • 2X uni polar modeTwice. Gain is 1 times when knob is centered.

    This is done by removing the jumper of the scale pin and connecting the bottom pin to the ground. The bottom pin of the header, such as INS, outs, and pagbo, is ground, so use it as a ground that links what is in those pins.

Shift knob

The shift knob can add or pull the voltage to the voltage signal passed through the scale knob. Also called DC offset. When the knob is turned to the right side of the center, the voltage is added, and when the knob is turned to the left of the center, the voltage is pulled. The range of the shift knob is + 9.5v. Because the range of the output voltage of sism is ± 11.4 V, depending on the setting of the shift, this voltage may exceed the range of + 11.4 V, but in this case the voltage is applied to the ceiling ofClipping. This clipping can also be used effectively in CV and audio processing.
 

Mix outsupplies

The lower mix / mix (SW) / - slice / + slice output outputs a signal that combines the output signal of the four channels.
  • Mix output: output a mix of 4 channel output signals.
  • Mix (SW) output: outputs a signal that mixes only unpatched signals to individual output jacks in four channels.
  • + slice / - output: + slice output outputs a plus part of the mix output signal, and the output output outputs a minus part.
