Button & LED

When you press this button, only the voltage of the pitch that the LED is on and activated is output. The top is C (do) and the bottom is B (c). You can also set each menu item by long press. See below for more information.

1V/Oct Input

Enter the voltage signal to be quantized.

Shift Input

In addition to the signal that the input signal is quantized as it is, uScale also generates a signal that quantizes the input voltage input here by adding it to the input voltage of 1V/Oct.

You can choose A, B, A and B for [MENU] long press → SHIFT TARGET.

You can also use this input to change the route of the scale by pressing and holding [SCALE] 2 seconds long. The timing of adding the shift voltage can also be selected by setting the front and rear, etc. through the scale.

The switch above chooses whether to shift, including the direction in which you want to limit or decrease the pitch only.

Output A

Outputs a quantized voltage signal.

Output B

Outputs a pitch voltage that has shifted by a specified interval. The interval is set from [INTRVL] long press.

How the setting value in Interval affects depends on the setting ([MENU] long press → setting from the B-MODE section). You can shift by a certain number of degrees, or you can shift only within the scale you set.

When you hover over the screen, each part's role is displayed in a pop-up.

MUSICAL FEATURES

uScale is a compact and musical quantizer that converts input signals into up-to-scale signals with intuitive quantization functions using keyboard buttons and LEDs, and uses shifts and intervals to create different melodies.

UScale clicks the corresponding keyboard button to light the LED, and the output voltage is applied to the voltage corresponding to the scale of the keyboard. If you press multiple keys, they will be drawn to the nearest effective scale. The input corresponds to a CV over 10 octaves of 0-10V. The quantizer's function uses a 16-bit converter, so the pitch error is very small with less than 1/2000 octave. Moreover, the LED of the selected scale lights red, and it is easy to operate it very clearly because the LED becomes green which scale the pitch output passes through. AlsoYou can save 12 presets per bank, with a total of 12 banks.The five banks have scale presets from the beginning.

INTERVAL & SHIFT produces two melodies
