Epoch Modular TwinPeak mk2

TwinPeak mk2 is a unique, high-quality twin peak filter designed by Rob Hordijk. It features a pinging sound that takes advantage of the musical tone shaping and delicate resonance.

TwinPeak consists of two low-pass filters with independent cutoffs, and input audio (blended input 1 and 2 by LNL IN/FADE) is input to both filters with the same gain. TwinPeak can continuously change the output of these two filters in reverse phase, from the low-pass filter that only filter A works to the bandpass filter that passes only the frequency band sandwiched between the cutoff of the filter A/B (Curve control). Bandpass filters created in this way have the following qualities that are different from band paths that connect high-pass and low-pass filters to serial:

• The bandpass filter passes through the audio of the band sandwiched between two frequencies, regardless of the magnitude of Peak A and B, so you can control and modulation without worrying about the big and small relationships.
• Even a normal filter can make a percussive sound by sending a short pulse to the input (Pinging), but twin peak can make a weak ping sound of the attack by pinging peak A and B at the same frequency.

By devising dual mod knobs/CVs that control two cutoffs at the same time, two signal inputs, and resonance modulation, you can add the movement of the tone unique to this filter.
